2020, Our Year of Honour

2019, with its many challenges no doubt, however God has been faithful as always.

2019 is one year I struggled very much. I am a full time working mum and I am not complaining because I enjoy it. It is just that I am looking forward to the years ahead when I will not have to come back in the evening and cook dinner in my work clothes. Or when I come back home and I will not have to tend to ensuring clothes are folded away neatly or monitoring my older son to ensure he has put all dirty clothes in the dirty clothes laundry bag. Indeed my hope for these years that are ahead of me, is in Christ Jesus.

Needless to say, my husband works far away from home but he comes home every weekend. This is an opportunity to testify of God’s goodness for His mercies on my husband, especially for journey mercies to and fro every weekend.

Then I am reminded of Wednesdays, my busiest day in the week. Or Tuesdays and Thursdays when I miss lunch to attend French Classes. I am reminding myself again, my hope is in Christ Jesus.

I remember in particular the last day of the school session in June 2019. I had had a very busy day, yet I had to go to the children’s school in the evening for the end of year school party. I arrived at the school extremely exhausted. My plan was to stay for 45 minutes and head home with the boys. However, they wanted to have fun so I let them. By the time they were done with fun, I was so exhausted that I was almost crying. But then, I was reminded that my hope is in Christ Jesus, so I pulled myself together, asked God for strength and headed home to start the dawn of the evening.

I am also reminded that when I needed great help, God came through for me. On two different occasions I had two people staying with me, but they would never know God planted them with my family for a time as such, to assist my family and also to build a relationship. I will constantly look back especially on the second occasion which was towards the end of the year, and I would say thank you Jehovah, the One Who takes care of His children.

Indeed, 2019 has been a year. However, with its many achievements and joys, albeit tempered with challenges, 2019 is coming to an end.

I invite you to join me to bless the Most High for keeping us and bringing us to the end of this beautiful year. May His name be praised forever.

Now, we enter 2020, our year of honour. I received this revelation through a song God put in my mouth one early morning towards the end of the year. And I claimed it immediately for 2020 as our year of honour.

God promised He will honour us with success, peace, love, providence, health, divine acceleration, open doors, happiness and joy.

You will hear many prophesies for 2020 as the year comes to the end or as 2020 unfolds but I encourage you, embrace that which the Lord has said to you.

I want to encourage you to be careful what you see in 2020 in order to receive God’s honour in all areas of your life. You may wish to read Numbers Chapter 13 and 14.

In chapter 13, Moses and Aaron sent 12 men to spy on the land of Canaan. They came back and they claimed they saw the Hittites, Jebusites and Amorites, that the land they saw is one that devours those who live in it so they concluded they should go no where near it but rather leave it well alone. However, Hoshea, son of Nun whom Moses had given the name Joshua and Caleb proclaimed in chapter 14, “As for us, the land that we explored is very good.”

This did not mean the Jebusites had disappeared, neither the Hittites or the Amorites but Joshua and Caleb saw a God that is bigger than the strong men in these cities.

Therefore, I encourage you, instead of shame in 2020, see HONOUR.

Instead of sorrow, see joy;
Instead of failure, see success;
Instead of death, see life;
Instead of sickness, see health;
Instead of idleness, you will receive ideas;
Instead of condemnation, declare, “I am forgiven;”

Instead of hatred, declare, “I receive love;”

Instead of despair, I see hope; and
Instead of evil, I see good.

If you desire to marry, Jehovah Rohi will give you your spouse;
If you desire a child, Jehovah El Shaddai will open your womb;
If you want a job, Jehovah Jireh will provide for you;
If you need healing, Jehovah Rapha will heal you;
If you want to be victorious, Jehovah Nissi will fight for you; and
If you desire a better relationship with God, Jehovah Adonai will teach you. Amen

In early 2020, I will share with you those things that can make us lose our honour. The truth is we have responsibilities and roles to play if we desire God’s word to come to pass in our lives.

God has said it, and He will clothe us with Honour.

Welcome to 2020, Our Year of honour!
Lots of love
Hannah
I love writing, singing, cooking, reading and I enjoy life. I believe that life comes in seasons and these seasons could be challenging, discouraging, joyful and when you find yourself in any of this season, embrace it, learn from it, and above all, never ever give up..
